"Maidenform" was an amazing and powerful episode because it shows progress in obvious and subtle ways in the plots ancd characters that are the show's strength and the source of its draw. Conflicts that have been present in the characters and the stories  from the beginning are made plain. Some are resolved, others burst into renewed conflict, and some of them even overlap. This is only possible after a certain amount of presentation. In this case it's halfway through the second season, almost twenty one hour episodes in, that the writer's schemes are beginning to show such dramatic fruit. Little more can be said without spoiling the copious fun and drama for others.
